Auto Ferrous Manganese Filters Ferrous and manganese minerals that are usually found in the ground water should be removed as the water doesn’t harm the plumbery and the machinery which works with water. For example, when ferrous water contacts with the air, ferrous hydroxides occur in the water and it affects the colour and taste. Ferrous minerals give the water a reddish colour, manganese minerals give the water a blackish colour. For the purpose of ferrous and manganese removal, the automatic filters which works with an special mineral (aquamandix®) are used for filtration. The design of the ferrous and manganese filters is altered according to the raw water capacity, filtration speed, the amount of ferrous and manganese minerals in the raw water.
