Cartridge Filter Systems consist of a SS304 quality, optional SS 316 quality or polyethylene filter body and filter cartridges. The cartridges, which are the main units that filter the water, take place in the filter body. Cartridge filters are used for the filtration of silt, taste, odour and suspended solid. Cartridge Filters are also used in all kinds of membrane systems, whether well water or sea water, for protection and safety in the pre-membrane stage or to hold the smallest micron particles in which bacteria may hide before the ultraviolet machine stage. In general 1 or 5 micron sensitivity is preferred. The period for the cartridges to get dirty changes depending on the amount of residue in the infiltrated water and the operating time of the filter. As dirty cartridges will increase the pressure loss of the filter, they should be changed immediately. Air discharge in the cartridge filters is possible before operation and at pre-drainage stage. The filters can be used with all kinds of cartridges that can easily be changed.
