Industrial wastewater from the slaughterhouse is treated to meet ecological restrictions for the discharge water.
The wastewater treatment system with 290 m3/hour capacity has manual fine screen at the entrance with 10 mm spacing and wastewater is collected at the transfer tank after passing through grit collecting channel. While in the grit collecting channel wastewater is aerated by blowers to remove suspended solids and separate oil to be collected on the surface. The channel is designed to enable removal of particles accumulated on the base and oil accumulated on the surface manually with certain intervals. Wastewater leaving grit collecting channel is collected in a transfer/ stabilization tank for output and concentration stabilization and feeding treatment system. Inside the tank, with the help of a line from pump lines wastewater is circulated for better mixing. Wastewater is transferred to the aerating pools with the help of submersible pumps inside the tank, in the pools treatment at the aerobic environment is realized by air supplied by blowers and diffusers.
After aerating pools, wastewater which is biologically treated is collected at the precipitation tanks under gravity, is left for maturation and biomass inside wastewater is separated from water. As biomass is accumulated as sludge on the base, water is discharged by taking water near the surface. Some portion of the sludge is transferred back with circulation pump and remaining part is send to the sludge concentration tank. In the concentration tank, solid concentration is further increased and removed from the facility.
The process is completed as wastewater is discharged in accordance with wastewater discharge standards.
